The Sponsorship Competition

The Riders’ Sponsorship Competition will again run in 2018 with riders encouraged to raise money for our chosen principal charity (see below), with a first and second prize for both adults and juniors (under 15) for those who raise the most. The procedure (which will again have a website tab here from 1st May) is that riders download the sponsorship form, and return the completed form and monies raised to the Entries Tent on the day. Once entries close, the winners are declared. The prizes will include Badminton Horse Trial tickets for 2019.

Our Charity for 2018

Our principal charity this year is The Royal British Legion, with 2018 being the 100th Anniversary of the end of the First World War and the then British Legion being formed as a direct result of that war. So 2018 is a significant year for The Royal British Legion as the custodians of remembrance. They are inviting communities to take part in a movement to say 'Thank You' to the First World War generation who served, sacrificed and changed our world. To mark the centenary of the last 100 days of the war, between 8 August and 11 November 2018, they will be encouraging people to find their way to say Thank You to the First World War generation. For further details click here.
Representatives of the Bristol and South Gloucestershire Branch of The Royal British Legion will be with us on Sunday 23rd September to help run the event and of course to advertise all aspects of remembrance at that time.
